'Maps to the stars' casting updates

Filming is just 2 months away for David Cronenberg’s Hollywood ghost thriller movie starring Robert Pattinson, Juliane Moore and John Cusack. As the weeks go by, we get more and more cast mates added to the supporting actors list and yesterday brought us three.

Christian Loyd and Justin Kelly took on to twitter to break the news:

While Emilia McCarthy didn’t tweet the news herself, she did retweet everyone else who did, including fansites.

Last week Ari Cohen also tweeted his casting news:

Here is the casting/role info so far:

John Cusack as “Sanford“, father in “Weiss family Hollywood dynasty”; analyst and coach who has made his fortune with self-help manuals.

Olivia Williams as “Cristina” the “manipulative mother” who looks after the career of her and Sanford’s son, Benjie.

Julianne Moore as “Havana“, one of Sanford’s clients, an actress who dreams of shooting a remake of the movie that made her mother, Clarice, famous.

Robert Pattinson as “Jerome”

Sarah Gadon as “Clarice“, deceased mother of Havana, who became a film star in the 1960′s; Havana is haunted at night by visions of her.

Evan Bird Plays ‘Benjie‘, “loathsome yet funny and touching child-star” (age 13) also described as a “troubled, drug addicted child star”. He has just come off a rehab program he joined when he was 9.

Mia Wasikowska as Benjie’s “tormented, apparently psychotic” sister, “Agatha“. Also described as “disfigured, schizophrenic, fame-obsessed”, she has just been “released from a sanatorium where she was treated for criminal pyromania.”
